Mike Edwards and Russ Edwards are skilled, experienced attorneys who handle a myriad of cases ranging from basic legal matters to complex situations. Mike and Russ have a combined 70+ years of experience practicing law in Sumner, Robertson and Davidson counties as well as the surrounding Middle Tennessee area.

Wills and Probate
Assisting clients in the preparation of wills, powers of attorney, living wills, and trusts. Edwards & Edwards also represent clients in probate court proceedings, including probating estates and conservatorships.

Family Law
Handling family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, adoptions, guardianship proceedings, and prenuptial agreements, Edwards & Edwards has experience in complex divorce cases involving a large amount of assets and business valuations.

Personal Injury
Representing clients in personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, and premises liability, including representation of a client in a wrongful death case that went all the way to the Supreme Court.

Russ Edwards
Russ Edwards has been with the Edwards & Edwards since 1998. He was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 2003 after graduating from the Nashville School of Law.

Russ has been married to Sara since 2000, they have two children, Ella and Hayden. Russ is the Hendersonville City Judge (part time), was a Hendersonville City Alderman, and is very active in the community, serving on various boards of directors. Russ enjoys spending time with his family, serving at their Long Hollow Church, and rooting on the Tennessee Vols.

Mike Edwards
Mike Edwards has been practicing law almost exclusively in Sumner County since 1974. After graduating in the top ten of his class from the YMCA Night Law School (currently the Nashville School of Law), he was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 1974. Prior to law school, Michael earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Belmont University. He was born and raised in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
Michael and his wife Laura live in Gallatin, Tennessee on property he fondly refers to as
the “farm.” He enjoys spending time with all his grandchildren and also taking care of the farm.

William Foster
William Foster has been with Edwards & Edwards since 2025. A graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law, William obtained his license to practice law in the State of Tennessee in 2025. Before attending law school in the Magnolia State, William attended Auburn University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration. William was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama.
William’s father is a native of Tennessee and, having felt the call to return to his family roots, William has been a resident of Nashville, since 2024. William lives with his Labrador Retriever and enjoys spending his time taking Bruin on long walks, cheering on the Volunteers, enjoying art and music, and practicing his golf swing.
